Head Lice - Lots of free InformationBy Andrew Stratton

Your crown of beauty, the hair illuminates your outside personality and adds up to your pleasing outlook. Everyone likes having clean, healthy hair but there may be times when we come down with a bad case of lice infestation. No one is immune to this matter. Though we might think that lice infestation commonly afflicts only children, even adults may find their hair infested with lice at one point or another. If you are the type of person who prides himself/herself on practicing daily and thorough personal hygiene, to find lice in your hair is awful, embarrassing, and even scary.

It's important to understand that lice can't exist without their hosts and humans and mammals or warm-blooded animals are their perfect hosts. People who share sports training gears, like football players or hockey players, are at risk for lice infestation. The reason is that head lice can survive for a relatively long time in unhygienic training gears until they find a new host. What's more scary in being unhygienic is that lice would love to stay for as long as they want on your top, making your hair their territory isn't something you could live comfortably. So while you think that you're hair is safe from these blood-sucking head lice, think hard and find ways on how you could prevent them from taking in control of your hair totally.

* Share no more While you want to be nice to others and share your personal things, then stop right there and think twice. Sharing combs, hairbrushes, towels, baseball caps, hats, bandannas or other head gears is the fastest way of sharing head lice too. There's a higher percentage of you getting inflicted with head lice when you're in contact with another person with lice. Hence, though other people may be offended that you refuse to share your stuffs, that's far better than you coming down with lice yourself. Have your linens properly washed all the times after using.

* Gym Cautious If you like to go to gyms and physical fitness facilities, be cautious about using the common lockers that you rent. If someone with lice has been storing his or her stuffs there, it is very likely that head lice still exists in the same locker. Realize that head lice are in search of their hosts all the time for their survival. Stop being the perfect hosts for these pests so get your stuffs neatly packaged, have your gym locker sprayed and cleaned before you lay all your gym stuffs in there. If you can insist on bringing along your own gym bag to whatever gym apparatus or amenities you will be using where you can keep an eye on it, that's safer.

* Get Help If your hair is loosing its vibrancy and health, lice may be the culprit. Comb yourself many times within the day to distract the lice's nit habits or prevent them from spreading all over your head. Use a really fine toothed comb while your hair is wet. Purchase an over-the-counter anti-lice treatment and use it accordingly. You may opt to check with your doctor for some recommended medical treatment if necessary.

With these 3 simple ways in mind, you'll definitely revive your hair's vibrancy. Moving forward, make sure to keep your hair healthy by keeping it from unwanted species like lice.
