Women numbered in the
hundreds of thousands all over the world complain about lice
related issues. Even though there are many of different
products such as shampoos for treating lice, only of a few
of them actually work. Most lice removal products have a
chemical base.
As a result, hair becomes dull and lifeless. Should this be
a reason to stop the use of lice-removal shampoos? In
actuality, there are effective products for treating
lice-related problems. Unfortunately, such products are
difficult to find. Children complain about lice as well.
Lice are parasites which
reside in those areas of the human body which has dense hair
growth. This is the reason why lice are generally known as
"head-lice". Lice suck blood from the scalp of a person's
head. Lice also prevent our hair from absorbing essential
nutrients from the scalp region. As a result, our hair loses
its vitality, shine and volume.
What are nits? Nits are the
eggs of parasites that are found in mammals. Head lice are a
type of nit, and when suffering from then, loss of blood is
the immediate result. Itching is another symptom of someone
who is infested with head lice. It is ironic yet irritating,
that a person with lice has to constantly scratch at their
scalp.
Lice are no slouches when
it comes to egg production. One infestation can place
millions of eggs, also called nits, in the hair. Nowadays,
there are effective remedies for treating head lice. One low
tech method is a nit comb. These combs are very fine with
narrow, tough teeth. As they are pulled through the hair,
they catch the lice and then you can kill them.
The disadvantage of lice
combs is that they only work effectively if a person has a
grown-up lice infection. These combs are ineffective of
treating nits. Lemon juice and Rosemary oil can also be used
for treating lice, and Lice shampoos take a few weeks before
results are seen. Many do-it-yourself remedies are available
on the Web, which can help you to know "how to get rid of
head lice".
